From First Trip Friends To Wedding Bridesmaid: Shreya & Palak’s Party Passport Story

Some friendships don’t need years to happen. Sometimes, they just need one trip, one random conversation, and one person who instantly feels like your kind of people.

That’s exactly how Shreya and Palak met.

Palak was trip leading one of the first Party Passport group trips. Shreya joined the trip like many solo travellers do, excited, slightly unsure, and hoping the group would turn out fun. Somewhere between the travel plans, inside jokes, late-night conversations and shared chaos, Shreya and Palak just clicked.

It wasn’t one big dramatic moment. It was the easier kind of friendship. The kind where you find yourself sitting next to the same person, laughing at the same things, making plans without even realising you are becoming close.

And that’s the best part about a good group trip. You don’t have to force friendships. You just have to show up.

After that first trip, Shreya knew one thing clearly. She wanted to travel again, and she wanted to do it with Palak and Party Passport. So when Spain happened, she joined again.

From the first trip to Spain, their friendship only grew stronger. What started as a traveller and trip leader bond became something much more personal. So personal, in fact, that Shreya later became one of Palak’s bridesmaids at her wedding.

That is what we love most about group travel.

People come for the destination, but they often come back for the people. The sunsets, parties, pretty streets and itinerary moments are special, of course. But what stays with you are the friendships you didn’t see coming.

At Party Passport, our trips are designed for people who want more than a holiday. They are for solo travellers, friend groups and anyone who wants to meet real people while exploring a new place. The goal is simple: good destinations, good energy and a group that feels easy to belong to.

Shreya and Palak’s story is a reminder that travel can do more than give you photos. It can give you people who become part of your life long after the trip is over.

Sometimes, you book a trip. Sometimes, you find a bridesmaid.
